About This Scheme

The scheme "Transgender Utthan Kosh - Training Programme for Transgenders" was launched by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Rajasthan, to provide financial assistance, skill training, and employment opportunities to transgender individuals, promoting their inclusion in society. Under this scheme, vocational and technical training is provided to transgender persons through Rajasthan Skill and Livelihood Development Corporation (RSLDC), Rajasthan Knowledge Corporation Limited (RKCL), Jan Shikshan Sansthan, Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), or other training providers recognized by the State or Central Government. Transgender individuals can avail a maximum of two training programs under this scheme. The Social Justice and Empowerment Department implements the scheme in collaboration with recognized training institutes and organizations.

What You Get

  • Skill Development:
  • Vocational/technical training will be provided to transgender persons through the Rajasthan Skill and Livelihood Development Corporation (RSLDC), Rajasthan Knowledge Corporation Limited (RKCL), Jan Shikshan Sansthan, Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), or training providers recognized by the State or Central Government.
  • Financial Assistance:
  • After receiving skill development training, each trainee will be given a lump sum amount of ₹5,000/- per month for one course (for maximum three months and for two courses).
  • Transgender persons can avail maximum 2 training programmes only.
  • Training Fee Coverage:
  • The state government reimburses the training fee directly to the training institutions.
  • Employment Support and Certificate:
  • Upon completion of training, the beneficiary will receive a certificate and employment assistance.

Am I Eligible?

You may be eligible if all of these are true for you.

  • The applicant should be a resident of Rajasthan.
  • The applicant should be a transgender person.
  • The gross annual income of applicant should not exceed ₹8,00,000/-.
  • A maximum of two training courses can be availed under this scheme.
  • Note 1: The applicant must meet the minimum age and educational qualification criteria set by the respective training institution.
  • Note 2: The State Government will reimburse the prescribed fees and other expenses to the training providing institute for the concerned programme.
  • Note 3: The fees will be made available directly to the concerned training institute after the transgender person is admitted to the respective programme.

How to Apply

  1. 1 The interested applicant should visit (during office hours) the Social Justice and Empowerment Office and request a hard copy of the prescribed format of the application form from the staff exclusively entrusted to issue and collect filled-in applications.
  2. 2 In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest, if required).
  3. 3 Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with the documents to the Social Justice and Empowerment Office.
  4. 4 Request a receipt or acknowledgment from the Social Justice and Empowerment Office to whom the application has been submitted.
